A unique and challenging opportunity exists for AML Investigators (Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Analysts) to provide subject matter expertise across client's regulatory obligations assisting the business with financial services laws, regulations, codes as well as internal policies, risk appetite and values.
These positions are to engage with key stakeholders as well as providing support to embed the compliance management framework.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor regulatory developments
- Coordinate impact assessments, coordinate regular meetings and follow up on actions
- Maintain a database of regulatory developments and changes
- Coordinate engagement with regulators, provide secretariat support to regulator meetings
- Coordinate onsite regulatory reviews
- Manage regulatory reporting to support client's licensing obligations
- Update and maintain the obligations register
- Assist with the creation of STR's to FINTRAC.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience within a compliance or regulatory body, law or in- house legal function which is supported by a relevant tertiary qualification.
Time management, communication, decision making, and problem solving are all key requirements to be successful in the role. You would describe yourself as analytical, with a demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and deliver. You will show initiative and be a self-motivated team player.
